BrokenToolkit Status - Windows 11 companion
===========================================

Realtime status tray + desktop widget for the Service Operations Hub
(https://status.brokentoolkit.com).

INSTALL (one time)
------------------
Run install.bat -> creates a venv, installs deps, adds a Desktop shortcut.

RUN
---
Double-click the "BTK Status" shortcut (or start.vbs). It runs hidden:
a tray icon appears with the aggregate service status color:

CYAN connecting AMBER degraded (any service down/warning)
GREEN operational RED critical (all services down)
  GREY offline / server unreachable

Right-click the tray icon for: open dashboard, refresh, open widget, open logs,
notifications toggle, options (auto-start, widget), exit.

WIDGET
------
Select "Open Widget" from the tray menu -> a compact always-on-top status
panel opens at http://127.0.0.1:18920/widget (pin it with your browser).
It refreshes itself every 4 seconds.

NOTIFICATIONS
-------------
Windows toasts are raised when a service goes down or recovers, and when
the aggregate state changes.

LOGS
----
The tray app writes a local log to logs\tray.log and captures the last
uncaught exception to logs\last_crash.txt (next to tray_main.py). Use the
tray menu's "Open Logs" to open that folder; if a crash was recorded the
menu shows a notice. Nothing leaves your machine.

CONFIGURATION
-------------
Edit config.json in this folder next to tray_main.py.
Defaults already match the hub ('loc' / 'tuvix').

AUTO-START
----------
Open tray menu -> Options -> "Auto-start on boot".

PACKAGING NOTE
--------------
Python 3.8+ is required. For a single-file .exe, run:
  pip install pyinstaller
pyinstaller --noconsole --onefile --name BTKStatus tray_main.py
